Happy New Year!
How are things going? Things are going pretty well here. That is
besides that fact that it is extremely hot here. It is sometimes
really hard to walk around because the sun just scorches you. It is
especially hard between about 1 and 5 in the afternoon. I think it
has regularly been getting up to 33 or 34 degrees celcius. I'm not
exactly sure what that is in Farenheit, but I just know that it is
HOT!!
Things in general are going well here. We are teaching some great
people. There is an investigator who has been going to church for
almost 2 years already, and she finally made the decision to
completely change and be baptized. So... she will be baptized on
Saturday!!! We also have another really great investigator named
Cristofer. He is a young man, about 22 years old, who is really
awesome. You can tell that his heart and being is really starting to
change to become more like the Savior and the type of person that he
needs to be. We just need to help him to go to church because he
seems to have some difficulties with that from time to time. But I
have confidence that he will be able to be ready to get baptized in
not too long.
I think that the weirdest thing right now is the fact that my
companion only has a little more than a month left before he goes
home. It is weird to see that he has to start thinking about
everything that he has to do after he gets home. I am just glad that
I still have a while that I don't have to worry about all of that
stuff. I have really grown to care a lot about my comp. I hope that
I will always be able to stay in contact with him even if he is really
far away. One of the possibilities is to go work or study in the
States, so we will have to see how that ends up working out. But if
that happens, I will definitely have to find a way to go see him
later.
Yesterday we saw fireworks that they shot off in the mountains. It
was cool, but they definitely aren't as cool as back home. Tonight I
don't think we are really going to do anything special. We are
probably going to go make tacos though before it gets too late and
then spend the night in our house. It is usually pretty anticlimactic
but it will be fun. Today for example will be a full day off because
afterwards we have to go right to our house.
Well I will talk to you later.
Have a great day!!
Chao,
