Hey there,
How are things going? Things are pretty good here. Not all that much
is new from what I remember of this past week. It is just crazy how
fast the time flies by. I love this place, and if it was my decision,
I could probably stay here the rest of my mission. But I'm sure that
that isn't the case. This past week we also had District conference
by satelite transmission. We had the blessing of listening
to Elder Corbridge, Elder Anderson, and President Monson along with
the General Relief Society President. It was a really good meeting.
I was especially impressed with how many people came. We had over 170
people in the chapel which is a LOT for this district. If 200 showed
up, it would be about the total of all of the branches on a normal
Sunday in their own buildings. I love being able to see things like
that that help to show the growth here in this part of Chile.
We had a whole family that came to church on Sunday. The dad and one
of the daughters are members but the girlfriend of him and the son are
not. Hopefully we can help them get fully active, baptized, and on
the way to the temple, which is a goal that the dad has for the
family. I can't think of a better goal that a family could have than
that.
Today we went to eat in the house of one of the adult couple
missionaries who are serving as the branch president in a very small
branch here. It was a great opportunity to get together as a zone and
be able to relax a bit. Hopefully everything will keep going well
here and we keep having success.
I hope that all is well back home.
Todd is serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chile Rancagua Mission. Here are excerpts from letters he has sent home so that friends and family can keep up with how he is doing.
