How are things going back home? Things have been pretty good here.
It is still staying pretty hot, but it is finally starting to cool
down a little bit. The work here has been good. I am still getting
used to the fact that there are 6 missionaries here. I don't know if
I wrote before, but two new sister missionaries arrived to the branch
this last week. So now there are four sister missionaries along with
us. I think that it will really help to continue the growth here in
this branch at an even faster rate. There were a lot of people that
were at church this past week, and there were many people that weren't
there that normally come. I feel like it is getting to the point that
there can be some great growth here to help strengthen the branch.
(Maybe soon it can be as strong as the branch in Stevens Point!) I am
really excited to keep working here. All of the three less active men
that we were working with made it to church again, and they all stayed
for all of the classes. It is exciting to see that type of growth
here as people start coming back to church. Hopefully, we will be
able to start working with some of them to help even more people in
this area.
Not much is new here. Unfortunately a bunch of the appointments that
we had this last week fell, but it gave us time to look for some other
new people, which is really good because we were able to find what
seems like some great golden investigators. Hopefully they will be
able to learn and progress in the Gospel so that they can start to
have all of the blessings that are available to them through the
Gospel.
Like I said, not much is new here, so I'm not really sure what else to
write, but I think it would be alright for you to send some of your
cooler weather over here. It would make things a bit more
comfortable.
Todd is serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chile Rancagua Mission. Here are excerpts from letters he has sent home so that friends and family can keep up with how he is doing.
