Hello everyone!!
Things are going pretty well here in Chile. I feel like I am
finally starting to feel comfortable here in this new sector. The
investigators here are really great. There are a lot of people that we
are working with here that are really starting to be able to make the
changes in their lives that they need to, and it is evident that they
are able to see the blessings that come through doing those things. It
is really inspiring to be able to see people who are making decisions
that will truly alter the rest of their lives which so much courage.
For example, there is someone that we are teaching this week who is the
head of a family where the daughter and wife are members. It was really
inspiring to see how much of an impact his decision to be baptized this
coming Sunday made upon his daughter, who clearly has been waiting for
this moment for a long time. It is powerful to see how the Holy
Ghost will truly work in our lives as we seek to follow His promptings.
One thing that was really great this week was that we were able to
go to the zoo today. It was pretty neat to be able to see all of the
different animals. It was weird however to see things like raccoons and
skunks in the displays. I doubt that there are many zoos in the United
States with those animals. However, there are a lot of neat animals
here.
I'm sorry that this letter is kind of short this week, but there's
not too much that I can think of for now. In general, things are going
well here. The weather is not too cold yet, which is really nice. I
hope that all is going well back home and that you are being able to
enjoy the beginning of summer.
I'll talk to you all later,
Elder Stollenwerk
