How is everything going back home? Things are going
pretty well here in Chile. It is crazy how fast time flies by. I feel
like I just barely wrote my last letter home. Honestly there isn't all
that much new here. We have been working hard as always to help the
branch grow and help the members to deeply feel the power of the gospel
in their lives. It is sometimes hard when things don't work out
perfectly, but you always need to remember that people have their agency
to choose how they want to act. Sometimes it's a little bit
frustrating that things have to be that way, but it's really the only
way that we can progress and grow personally.
On Saturday we had an activity with the Primary of the
District because it was el Dia del Niño, or Kid's day. So we ended up
being in charge of 6 kids that came from our branch without their moms.
It was actually pretty fun being dad for a day. It was a little
stressful sometimes, and it really wears you out after a while chasing,
playing with, feeding, and just in general worrying about kids. I
realized a jump from having 0 kids to having 6 is a lot. I wouldn't
recommend it to anyone. But in the end everything worked out well. It
was a lot of fun and verified the fact that I really like little kids.
(But I think I'll be glad that my wife and not me will be with
my kids 24/7).Todd is serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chile Rancagua Mission. Here are excerpts from letters he has sent home so that friends and family can keep up with how he is doing.
