October 28, 2013

How is everything going back home?  Things are going pretty well here.  It is kind of crazy to think that there is not all that much time left for me here.  It really hasn't hit me fully yet, but I know that at some point in time I'm just going to have to accept the fact that I don't have all that much time left to work here in Chile.

This week went very well.  We are teaching a great family here.  The mom has been preparing now for a few weeks to be baptized.  Just recently this last Friday, we got one of the sons to go to an activity in the church with the young men and women, and now is really excited for everything.  He came to church yesterday and said that he wants to be baptized as well.  Most likely he and his mom will be the last baptisms that I have here in Chile.  It is really exciting to see all that goes on in this work.  I am just very excited to keep doing all that I can while I am here and then afterwards as well.  Honestly a lot of my time here has just passed by like a blur.  I can't believe that I've already been here in this new sector for 4 weeks and that I will have to leave in less than that.  But I honestly feel like I am able to do some important things here before I go.  We also found a great family that we are going to work with to try to get back to church in these coming weeks.  After moving, they stopped attending church, and now many years have passed since the last time they went.  Hopefully things will go really well in these final weeks that I have here.

I guess I don't really know what else to write for now.  Good luck with everything back home.  Have a great Halloween (by the way, they do celebrate it here, but the only thing that they do is go trick or treating).  Have a great week and I'll talk to you later.
