So this has been a pretty exciting
week. First of all, we had two baptisms which was really exciting. One
lady who was baptized is named Roxana, who I believe I talked about the
last time. The second lady is named Valeska. She is the mom and wife
of two members who were baptized about 9 months ago. It was really neat
to be able to see the change in someone that at first was so much
against the church turn to become someone who will surely be a strong
member- all because she received an answer that the Book of Mormon was
true through prayer. Her experience was really powerful to me because
it showed the importance of that book in our lives. There is definitely
a real power in that book that can completely change our lives. For
that reason, it is so important to read and pray about it.
Second, I moved! I am now in the Ward Villa
Magisterio in the El Bosque Stake. That also means that I have a new
companion! His name is Elder Craven. I will be finishing his training
here, which means he is also really new. He has only been in Chile for a
little more than a month. I currently live on the 17th floor of a
large apartment complex. It's pretty neat. I can see the center of
Santiago from our balcony. I'll try to send some pictures next week.
Oh, and something to make Aunt Janet jealous. I got to ballroom
dance already on my mission. Yeah bet you didn't expect that. There is
a senior missionary who used to do ballroom dance so I was able to
dance a bit of Viennese Waltz and Cha Cha with her. It was pretty fun
to be able to do that.
Sorry about the shortness of this letter, but I sort
of ran out of time. I will hopefully write more to you all next time.
But just know that everything is going great here in Chile. I hope all
is great back home, and I'll talk to y'all later.
